Assistance League receives support for children

Assistance League of Chaves County received a $2,000 check at its Nov. 16 meeting from the Chaves County Health Council for dressing 20 school children served by the Operation School Bell program. Children in grades K-8 who are referred by schools in Chaves County receive new shirts, pants, shoes, socks, jackets, underwear, books and hygiene kits.
