Robert Louis Hoskin, Sr, 78, of Roswell, NM, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018, after a long fight with bone cancer. Please take a moment and share a fond memory or kind expression of sympathy for Robert’s family at www.andersonbethany.com.

On December 18, 1939, Robert was born, in York, PA, to Lewis Arthur Hoskin and Sarah Jean Gentzler Hoskin, who preceded him in death. He was a graduate of West York High School’s class of 1958, and a veteran of the United States Army and the United States Army Reserves.

Survivors: Robert is survived by his wife, Esther Marie Hoskin of forty-four years; five children: David Merrin Waltersdorff of Austin, TX, Debbie Rose Murphy of Austin, TX, Daniel Robert Waltersdorff and wife Amy of York, PA, Robin Louise Abbt of Lubbock, TX, Robert Louis Hoskin, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Eugene Hoskin and wife Tonya of York, PA; sister, Louise Aughenbaugh and husband Steve of York, PA; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one precious grand-dog, Logan.

Robert worked for thirteen years at the West York WEIS Market before moving his family to Roswell, NM, due to the Three Mile Island Incident. He worked for TMC, NOVA Bus, and Millennium for over twenty years, and later retired from NM Head Start of Roswell, NM. Robert attended church at Midway Assembly of God for eighteen years and was a long-standing member of Gateway Church International for the remaining nineteen years that he was able to attend church.

Service: A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018, 2:00 PM, at Gateway Church International, 1900 North Sycamore Avenue, Roswell, NM.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Gateway Christian School.

His sense of humor, practical jokes, love of family, nature, and music will be forever remembered. Robert will be greatly missed by all who loved him, but we are happy to know that he is at peace and in perfect health with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The family would like to thank Kindred Hospice for their loving care of Robert during his final months.
