Alfred Aguilar, 60, of Carrollton, Texas, passed away surrounded by his loved ones after a brief illness on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. Please take a moment and share a fond memory or kind expression of sympathy for Alfred’s family at www.andersonbethany.com.

On February 22, 1958, Alfred was born to Vincent and Isabel Aguilar in Roswell, New Mexico. He married the love of his life, Shirley, and they spent thirty wonderful years together. Alfred graduated from Roswell High School with honors. He continued his education at New State University where he earned his teaching degree.

Alfred’s most recent job was as a Senior Account Manager. He has worked in sales for more than thirty-five years, Alfred just loved the challenge. He loved all things about history and couldn’t wait to tell you about a historic landmark, especially if it was in New Mexico. Alfred loved anything that had to do with hunting, fishing, and camping, where he was most at peace. He enjoyed breakfast and garage sales with his wife, daughter, and grandson, Mason. Alfred and his grandson would be found together eating candy and watching Mr. Peabody and Sherman (a cartoon about history, their favorite).

He was a good role model to his son in law. But the thing Alfred enjoyed most was showing off his grandson and spending the holidays with his family where he would joke “when I was in the army,” and everyone would joke that he was never in the army. The room would be filled with laughter and an outpouring amount of love. His family and friends will miss him dearly and will always be loved by many. It is impossible to say all the countless accomplishments that Alfred had achieved over his lifetime.
