Free cybersecurity training is available in El Paso to those who qualify for a 12-week certificate program.

Workforce Solutions Borderplex, a public educational and employment program serving six counties in Texas, will offer three 12-week programs in 2019. They are scheduled for January, April and August, and potential candidates must pass an exam and other screening processes to be accepted.

The free training will be offered 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays on-site in El Paso. No living stipend is provided. If participants successfully complete the program, they will receive training in the skills needed to pass five cybersecurity certificates. Participants must agree to seek work in integrated technology (IT) fields upon program completion.

To participate, applicants need to sign up by Dec. 20 at borderplexjobs.com. Contact Natalie Littlefield at Natalie.littlefield@borderplexjobs.com for more information.
