Twenty Five Days of Zoo Christmas

Friends of Spring River Zoo is sponsoring the enrichment program in which the animals get species-specific wrapped gifts each day in December with exception of Tuesdays (the zoo is closed and designated as members-only day for Friends members) and Christmas Day. They are still looking for sponsors to contribute gifts for the animals. For more information, contact senior zookeeper Andrea Cole a.cole@roswell-nm.gov and for a schedule of which animals will receive their gifts on which days: roswell-nm.gov.

Christmas Railway

Tickets are now on sale for the Roswell Christmas Railway, which is set up at the Spring River Park & Zoo, 1306 E. College Blvd. There will be lights, entertainment, food and Santa. For more information, visit roswellchristmasrailway.com.

Still Life exhibit

The exhibit opening of Still Life will be in the entry gallery at the Roswell Museum and Art Center, 100 W. 11th St. Drawn from the permanent collection, Still Life offers an exploration of the genre. Encompassing a selection of both historical and contemporary New Mexico art, this grouping highlights the variety of RMAC’s collection itself. From B.J.O. Christmas Lights Wagon Ride

The annual Christmas Lights Wagon Ride, 2603 N. Aspen Ave., is organized by the Roswell Mid-day Lions. The old-fashioned horse-drawn wagon ride includes refreshments provided by local Boy Scout Troop No. 72 (donations are appreciated.) Free Christmas cantata

The Bethel Baptist Choir, at 2420 N. Garden Ave., perform Good News from Home, a Christmas cantata on Friday and Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 10:45 a.m.

Photos with Santa to benefit CASA

For a $5 donation to Court Appointed Special Advocates association, professional keepsake photos with Santa will be available. The photos with Santa can be made from noon to 4 p.m. at Roswell Nissan, 2111 W. Second St. For more information, call 575-625-2111.

Folklorico Holiday Show

The Roswell Folklorico will perform its annual Holiday Show at the Roswell Adult and Senior Center, 807 N. Missouri Ave., at 2 p.m. The event is free of charge. Christmas Musical Celebration “The Gift”

Hearts of Gold Fundraiser

Join the Roswell Homeless Coalition on Friday from 5 to 10 p.m. for its Hearts of Gold Fundraiser in the form of the musical Christmas lights of Jesse McDaniels at 2509 Cambridge Ave. There will be hot chocolate, hot apple cider, gold bars and Santa Claus.
