On August 1, 1944, Lorenzo was born to Martin and Clara Prudencio in Artesia, NM. He was the oldest of eight siblings. Lorenzo was married to Maria Portillo Prudencio who preceded him in death. Together, they had two children. In addition to his two children, he had three other children with his first wife. Lorenzo loved his family dearly and adored his grandchildren. They were his greatest joy in life.

Prior to retiring, Lorenzo worked as a plumber for many years in Roswell NM. He was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Lorenzo’s approach to people was always to lend a helping hand to anyone, and in any way possible, these things came from a humbled heart. He was family oriented and loved spending time with his friends and family. Lorenzo enjoyed playing the accordion. But, mostly, he enjoyed giving love to everyone.
