Heinrich staffer expected at Aging Commission meeting

The constituent services representative for U.S. Sen. Martin Heinrich is scheduled to talk at the next city of Roswell Commission on Aging meeting.

Iris Karges, a member of the Democratic senator’s office since 2013, will answer questions and discuss federal issues affecting area residents during the Jan. 17 meeting scheduled for 3 p.m. at Senior Circle, Suite D, 2801 N. Main St.

Karges addresses concerns regarding federal programs or legislation affecting constituents in 17 counties and 19 Native American pueblos. Southeastern New Mexico counties include Quay, Curry, Roosevelt, DeBaca, Chaves, Eddy, Lea and Lincoln. She previously worked as a constituent services representative for Democratic Sen. Jeff Bingaman from 2002 until his retirement in 2012.
