An aide for U.S. Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-Albuquerque) has canceled a scheduled appearance at a Jan. 17 City of Roswell Commission on Aging meeting.

A member of the commission said that Constituent Services Representative Iris Karges instead plans to speak about Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare issues at some future meeting of the commission, which meets every other month.

The Jan. 17 meeting is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Senior Circle, Suite D, 2801 N. Main St.
