On July 31, 1963, Juanita was born to Eugene and Dora Garcia in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Everyone who knew Juanita, knew she loved to dance. Known to many as “Juana La Cubana” and also as the “Tower Bar Queen,” Juanita was always smiling. That smile of hers was like sunshine, because where ever she would go, it would light up the room.
