Women’s Strive Series, part 1

WESST is presenting the first part of the three-part series Women’s Strive, featuring local women telling their stories. The first event features Mycah Moody, Betty Young and Jacqueline Roden and takes place at MECA Therapies (Community Room), 1415 W. Second St., from 10 a.m. to noon. Music video casting call

The band Gleewood is looking for interested dancers to be in its upcoming video at the Win, Place and Show Bar, 2516 Sudderth Drive. They are looking for extras to be a part of its rock ‘n’ roll audience. If you have a dancing background please let them know as they do need dancers who can follow choreography. Viennese Variations concert

The Roswell Symphony Orchestra presents Viennese Variations, including Holberg Suite by Grieg, Pavane by Faure, Trumpet Concerto by Haydn, Adagietto from Symphony No. 5 by Mahler, Five Varients of Dives and Lazarus Vaughn Williams, Classical Symphony by Prokofiev. Still Life exhibit

The exhibit opening of Still Life will be in the entry gallery at the Roswell Museum and Art Center, 100 W. 11th St. Drawn from the permanent collection, Still Life offers an exploration of the genre. Encompassing a selection of both historical and contemporary New Mexico art, this grouping highlights the variety of RMAC’s collection itself. From B.J.O. Nordfeldt to Robert Ellis, the public will be able to see some compelling works that look at objects through an artistic lens. For more information, call 575-624-6744.
