Breaking ground for mountain lion exhibit

A wolf watches from its enclosure as city of Roswell crews dig a hole to eventually lay a sewer line for the interim mountain lion exhibit at Spring River Park and Zoo. Project Manager Jim Sexe, engineer technician for the city, said the sewer line project is estimated to take about two weeks. Sexe explained that the line would be used for the floor drains when the zookeepers clean the pens and the existing wolf and coyote exhibit is also getting a floor drain. Jim Burress, director of Parks and Recreation, said the city’s water, engineering and parks departments are all working on this first phase of the zoo’s master plan adopted in March.
