The New Mexico Army National Guard and Employer Support to the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) teamed up recently to host an employer event to honor Roswell area employers.

Included were Army Blackhawk orientation flights for selected employers, furnished by the aviation section of the New Mexico Army National Guard; equipment displays and tours of the armory hosted by local units of the New Mexico Army National Guard; briefings by military leaders; tasting of Army MRE’s (meals ready to eat); introduction to convoy operations; rides in Army HMMWVs (High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles) and other tactical vehicles; and weapons demonstrations and familiarization.

ESGR furnished a luncheon for all in attendance and presented awards to employers who were nominated by their employees.

The following employers were honored for having been nominated by their employees for the Freedom Award during calendar year 2018. The Freedom Award is the highest award given by ESGR. Employers compete in three categories (large, small and public sector). One in each category is selected as the top winner for New Mexico each year.
