A Texas company has purchased a building in northeast Roswell and plans to open a medical office this spring.

Vazquez Realty Holdings LLC, the real estate arm associated with the El Paso Pain Center and the Las Cruces Pain Center, which are led by Dr. Eduardo Vazquez, has acquired the former Farm Credit of New Mexico building at 2730 N. Wilshire Blvd. for an undisclosed amount.

The New Mexico Pain Center is scheduled to open in April 2019, said Jessica Rubinstein, director of marketing.

“Our team of board certified physicians looks forward to providing exceptional pain management services to the Roswell community,” she said.

Rubinstein explained that the group decided to open in Roswell because it feels the city is “an excellent fit” for the medical practice.

She chose not to answer questions regarding how many employees or physicians would be located in Roswell. The chosen location is close to both Eastern New Mexico Medical Center and Lovelace Regional Hospital.

According to its website, the El Paso Pain Center has three locations and 11 doctors, nurses or other medical professionals and the Las Cruces Pain Center has one location with five doctors and medical staff. Some personnel participate with both groups. The practices specialize in “interventional pain procedures” as a supplement to patients’ other medical or therapy treatments, the website states.

Farm Credit of New Mexico, based in Albuquerque, decided to move its Roswell offices to West College Boulevard and then sold the Wilshire Boulevard building.

Chaves County real estate records indicate that the property officially changed hands Dec. 13.

A representative of Farm Credit chose not to comment for the article.

According to Chaves County property records, the single-story Wilshire Boulevard building measures 6,367 square feet and is located on 43,560 square feet of land. The county estimated the actual value of the land and building at $674,019 in 2018.
