Sandra Key Barraza, center, is honored at a Feb. 1 retirement celebration at the Eastern New Mexico Fairgrounds offices. A crowd gathered to commemorate her 31 years of service with the New Mexico State University Cooperative Extension Service. She joined in December 1987, working with Colfax County until 2006. She then came to the Chaves County Extension office as a 4-H agent and was named its director in March 2010. She also served as the Chaves County agricultural and horticultural extension agent from October 2007 until her retirement. With her at the celebration are Family and Consumer Sciences Agent Shannon Wooton, left, and 4-H Extension Agent Andrea Stapp. (Submitted Photo)
