A three-and-a-half-month construction project to realign a sharp turn at the North Montana Avenue/Stone Street intersection will begin Monday, Feb. 11. The project will improve safety as an increase in traffic is anticipated once the nearby Roswell Recreation and Aquatic Center is completed this year.

During the project, there will be no access for through traffic on North Montana from West Eighth Street to West College Boulevard.

The project is expected to be completed by May 24, according to city officials.

Contractor Abraham’s Construction will be working Mondays through Thursdays, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with weekend work taking place on an as-needed basis.

The project consists of a new street alignment, sidewalks, curbs and gutters and some walking trail relocation.
