Clergie Dale Carlton, age 83, of Roswell, NM passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019. Clergie Dale was born August 4, 1935 to Clergie Franklin Carlton and Helen Evera Hudson in Roswell, NM.

Clergie Dale was a retired Deputy Chief of Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept., a former treasurer and church Elder at 7th Day Adventist in Roswell, NM. He was US Navy Veteran serving September 1953 to August 1957 and graduated FBI Academy in 1976. Clergie Dale was also 3rd degree Mason and graduated from UNLV in Las Vegas with his BA in Public Administration while employed full time as a police officer.

Clergie Dale is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bobby Carlton, and uncle, Troy Carlton.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara Joan Carlton; daughter, Vicki Lynne Carlton; son, Arman Dale Carlton; sister-in-law, Patricia Carlton; nieces, Debbie Smith, Jeannie Harper; nephews, Bobby Dean, Teddy, Mark and Steve Carlton and their respective children; grandsons, Fred Terry, Zack Carlton and Ben Carlton; and nieces Domanique and Whitney Carlton and great grand-daughter born to Whitney Carlton and a grandson, Joey Terry.
