Alex J. Pacheco, 60, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019. Please take a moment and share a fond memory or kind expression of sympathy for Alex’s family at www.andersonbethany.com.

Services: There will be a Viewing at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 PM. Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery at later date.

On February 27, 1958, Alex was born in Carrizozo, New Mexico, to Sofia and Roman Pacheco. In the ‘60s, he moved to Roswell, New Mexico. Alex attended schools in Roswell and played football for both junior high and high school. In 1977, he graduated from Goddard High School. Alex was an outstanding mechanic for Honda and Mazda for many years. He was a loving grandfather and uncle, who always played with the kiddos. Alex enjoyed outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping.

Survivors: Those left to cherish Alex’s memory are his companion of twenty plus years, Nancy Esquivel; three children: Leticia Coggin, Alexis Pacheco, and Alejandro Pacheco, all of Roswell; six grandchildren: Jose Aldavaz III of Albuquerque, Annisa Coggin, Dominic Pacheco of Roswell, Anai Serna, Billy and Elijah of Roswell; five siblings: Patsy Lucero of Alamogordo, Ray Pacheco (Jr) of Roswell, Nena Pacheco of Roswell, Rita Pacheco of Roswell, Frances Pacheco of Alamogordo; and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Preceded: Preceding Alex in death were his parents, Sofia and Roman Pacheco; grandparents, Juanitha and Luciano Gallegos; grandmother, Jesucita Griego; and sibling, Felix Pacheco.
