One person died in a two-vehicle crash Sunday night west of Hagerman.

A 2016 Ford truck driven by Ramon Ricardo Trevizo-Palomo, 48, of Dexter was heading north on Lincoln Road when it ran a stop sign and struck a 2015 Chevy truck, according to a press release from the New Mexico State Police. The Chevy truck was traveling east on Morgan Road.

The Ford rolled after the collision and Trevizo-Palomo, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. He was later pronounced dead at the scene by medical investigators.

The Chevy was driven by a 21-year-old female. She and a 25-year-old male passenger sustained unknown injuries and were transported to a local hospital. Their names were not released.

Alcohol does not appear to have been a contributing factor in the crash, according to the press release.
