Arrests/citations 

Krystal Ortega was charged with possession of marijuana on March 22 at 12:21 a.m. at the 500 block of Cypress Avenue.

Alexander Quintero was charged with receiving or transporting firearms and destructive devices by a felon, on March 22 at 2:59 p.m. at the 500 block of South Sycamore Avenue.

Devin Gonzales was charged with possession of marijuana at 12:59 p.m. on March 23 at the 1500 block of West College Boulevard.

Elizabeth Najar was charged with possession of marijuana at 1:36 p.m. on March 23 at the 1200 block of North Garden Avenue.

Roy Wade was charged with reckless driving and eluding an officer at 6:26 p.m. on March 23 at the 1400 block of South Main Street.

Jonathan Acosta was charged with possession, delivery and manufacturing of drug paraphernalia and contempt of court at 5:13 a.m. on March 24 at the 500 block of Second Street and North Garden Avenue.

Alfred Chaves was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor at 12:03 a.m. on March 26 at the 100 block of West Tilden Street and South Richardson Avenue.

Angela Mendez was charged with possession of marijuana at 3:27 p.m. on March 26 at the 700 block of North Union Avenue.

Brianna Olivas was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to comply at 9:06 p.m. on March 26 at the 600 block of South Grand Avenue and Bland Street.

Assault

Police responded at 4:17 a.m. on March 23 at a 300 block of Birch Avenue residence in reference to a call about an aggravated assault with a firearm.

Burglary/theft/larceny

A red and black Toro lawnmower valued at $339 was reported stolen from a 3000 block of North Garden Avenue location at 11:59 a.m. on March 22.

The embezzlement of a 2017 white Toyota valued at $26,000 was reported at 12:12 p.m. on March 22 at the 600 block of Poe Street and South Washington Avenue.

A report was made on March 22 at 1:01 p.m. at the 400 block of West Country Club Road in regard to an attempted stolen vehicle. The victim’s wallet valued at $50 was reported stolen and $1,000 worth of damage to the vehicle’s lighting and steering column was reported.

Police responded to a shoplifting call at 7:52 p.m. March 22 at a 4000 block of a North Main Street business after a tilt-head mixer — a kitchen appliance — valued at $279, was reported stolen.

A burglary forced entry was reported at 9:09 a.m. March 23 at the 900 block of West Matthews Street. Two televisions, a weed-eater and an air conditioning unit with a combined value of $575 were reported stolen. A DVD player and bedroom door reportedly sustained $250 in damage.

An officer was dispatched at 3:57 p.m. March 23 to the 2000 block of North Main Street in reference to a larceny after a Style 4 LG cellphone valued at $200 was reported stolen.

A $100 Alexa Amazon radio valued at $100 was reported stolen at 7:50 p.m. March 23 from a 3000 block of Mission Arch Drive apartment.

Police responded to a larceny call at 9:05 a.m. March 27 at a 2000 North Main Street business in reference to shoplifting of a cellphone valued at $69.99.

A black 2017 Ford F-150 was reported stolen at 11:50 a.m. March 26 from a 2000 South Sunset Avenue location.

Police received a call at 8:53 a.m. March 28 about a vehicle burglary that happened two days before at the 900 block of West Brasher Road. A catalytic converter valued at $500 was reported stolen and the vehicle’s undercarriage — valued at $1,000 — was reported damaged.

An HP Pavilion laptop, lottery tickets and a speaker with a combined value of $545 were reported stolen at 12:30 p.m. March 28 during a vehicle burglary in the 1500 block of Pecos Avenue.

An officer was dispatched to the zero block of West Wells and B streets at 2 a.m. March 29 in reference to a vehicle burglary. Several subjects were found walking around the area looking into vehicles.

Criminal damage

Police received a call at 3:20 p.m. March 24 in reference to criminal damage at the 600 block of Swinging Spear Road. A metal fence and trampoline sustained a combined value of $400 in damages.

Police received a call at 4:31 p.m. March 24 in reference to criminal damage at an apartment at the 400 block of East Fourth Street. The rear passenger door on a Jeep sustained damage valued at $600.

An incident of criminal damage was reported at 6:59 p.m. March 24 at a 3000 block of North Main Street location. Paint was scripted on the hood, doors and trunk of a 2014 Nissan causing $3,000 worth of damage.

Breaking and entering at the 500 block of East Brenda was reported March 24 at 7:41 p.m. An exhaust ceiling fan and a wooden bathroom door sustained a combined value of $350 in damages.

Police received a call at 9:05 a.m. March 25 in reference to a criminal damage report at the 600 block of Mimosa Drive. A double-pane window valued at $250 was damaged.

Police received a call at 5:39 p.m. March 25 in reference to criminal damage at the 600 block of Canoncito Drive. A billboard and a bedroom wall sustained a total of $125 in damages.

A $300 house window was reported damaged during a burglary in progress reported at 10:48 a.m. March 27 at the 700 block of South Richardson Avenue.
