Your lead article in the March 15 edition is in extremely bad taste in and of itself but the photo accompanying the article is an insult to your readers. Is this who we are?
The photo is appalling, objectionable, offensive, repugnant, repulsive, distressing, irksome, obnoxious, uncomfortable, troublesome, annoying, vexatious, nasty, horrible, hateful, abominable, execrable, odious, invidious, repellent, revolting, ugly and more — lots more.
I say again, “Is this who we are?”
I do not want to believe that city and county officials who represent us would allow themselves to be so caught up in the killer society that now exists in our nation.
I did not vote in the last election for sheriff as both candidates were front and center with their 2nd Amendment support and didn’t mention much else. Sort of tells me more about the voting public than it does about the candidates.
But, now, here is one of those candidates and his deputy posing with a long gun in each hand and a look that says “don’t bug me …” The guns provided to them by City Councilor Jeanine Corn Best.
I do not want people like this representing my interests. I don’t even want them in my time zone.
Really? Am I the only person in town who found the photo and the story accompanying it an abomination?
Don’t we have a great deal more to worry about right now than a wall and more things to kill with?
