Jean Kersey Rogers passed away peacefully on Palm Sunday, April 14, 2019. She was born January 22, 1924, in Roswell, NM, at St Mary’s Hospital to Luther R Kersey and Nora Young Kersey, both deceased. Jean graduated with the class of 1943 at Roswell Senior High School. After her marriage to James H Rogers in 1950, she moved to Jacksonville, Florida, where she resided for 10 years. After a divorce, she returned to Roswell where she worked for the Business Office at Eastern New Mexico University, and later, for Carlos Cunningham, CPA, until her retirement in the 1980’s.

PRECEDED: Jean was preceded in death by an infant son, Norman Kersey Rogers; sisters, Helen Kersey and Opal Roudebush; and nephews, Robert and William Roudebush.

SURVIVORS: Jean is survived by nephews, Richard Roudebush of San Antonio, Texas and Charles and Judy Roudebush of Woodinville, Washington; as well as two great nieces, two great nephews, a great great niece, and 5 great great nephews. She will be missed by friends and family.

There will be no Memorial Service, but friends may make memorial donations to the Cowboy Bell Scholarship Fund at First United Methodist Church in Roswell, New Mexico.
