Travis Lee Sappington, 36, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019, at his home in Denver City, TX.  He was born August 1, 1982, in Roswell, NM, to Lee and Jackie Sappington. While in Roswell, he attended Goddard High School.

Travis was an active member of both Trinity Baptist Church and Kingdom Family Fellowship group in Denver City, TX. He was also raised at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Roswell, NM.  He dedicated a large portion of his life to the service of Jesus Christ and has gone on to Heaven to be with Him. Travis truly enjoyed serving others and so many times did it unselfishly. Travis worked alongside Melvin Kelley, and his family was truly grateful for that opportunity, Travis was surrounded by a man that helped him daily in his walk.

SURVIVORS: Travis is survived by his parents, Lee & Jackie Sappington and his son, Matthew Sappington. He also leaves his sister, Shelby Forchtner, Joe Forchtner and their children Macy Smith, James Forchtner and Bentley Forchtner. Travis also leaves behind his grandparents, Stan & Billie Divis and Linda Diggs; aunts and uncles, Guy & Sandy Haykus and Gary & Jeri Key, Tim Sappington, Kevin Ziegenfuss, and Debbie Archer; his many cousins: Cody Key, Clinton Key, Casey Key, Kyle Haykus, Alexis Haykus, T.J Sappington and Crystal Sappington. He is also leaving behind a great group of friends: Sam Camp, James Silva, J.T. Thompson, Kassijo Sappington, Jose Veldsco & Family, Brent & Pam, Melvin Kelley, Jeff Payne and his Kingdom Family group.

PRECEDED: He was preceded in death by grandparents: Harold Lee Sappington, Vern & Lois Muelker; and his uncle, David Muelker.

SERVICES: Funeral arrangements are being handled by Anderson Bethany Funeral Home in Roswell, NM.  The Funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, 6:00 PM, at Tabernacle Baptist Church. There will also be a Viewing at 4:00 PM to 5:45 PM before the service. Burial will be Wednesday, April 24, 2019, 10:00 AM, at South Park Cemetery.
