Actor Bruce Barta is seen here on a 1937 Flathead Harley Davidson motorcycle. Barta and the motorcycle are part of the locally-produced film “Ride til You Die” that kicks off this year’s Roswell Film Festival on Wednesday evening. Originally written for older actors, author and director Kate Davis re-wrote the film for 40-something characters. She cast a winning team in Roswell locals Johnnie Hector and Robin Haynes. “Ride til You Die” was shot on the road and at locations in Dexter, Roswell, Lincoln, Carrizozo and White Oaks. With few exceptions, all cast and crew are residents of southern New Mexico. Many are former students of the Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell Film Program.
