Esta Rose Brown, age 59, took her final journey home to be with Jesus in Heaven on April 11, 2019. She fought a hard battle with cancer and always wanted to walk again. Let us find comfort in the fact that she is once again healthy and walking. She had a great love for the Lord and faith that never wavered no matter how dark things seemed.

Esta was a mechanic for many years and very good at it. Even in later years when her health didn’t allow her to work hands on she could still help to diagnose the problem and walk you through the steps of what needed done.

Esta was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and loved to watch a good football game especially when her team won. She loved going to play bingo every chance she got and always said she would win not because of luck but God willing. Esta loved the outdoors and taking rides on her scooter to go visit with friends. She had a quick wit and a great sense of humor.

Esta loved her family and friends so very much and will be missed by all of us she has left behind. All of us who knew and loved Esta will each remember her in our own ways but we can all say our lives were brighter just to have known and shared our lives with her.

Esta left behind her beloved furbabies, Larry her cat, and her dogs Baby Girl, Titan, and Lucky. She lost her long time pet Speedy a few months ago to old age and I’m sure he is also healthy and walking right beside her once again.

Esta was preceded in death by her Papaw and Mamaw, mother Betty, sister Deana, brothers Chuck and Robert, and best friend Michael Turner.

Many thanks to the Hospice Team and Bryan who helped care for Esta in her final days. Also a special thanks to my mom Viola Deason who made sure Esta had every comfort possible and rarely left her side her last couple of months. Esta voiced how grateful she was for what was being done for her and I am glad I was able to provide her a comfortable home environment that she was deserving of in her final days.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 27th at 1:00 p.m. at the Eagles Club 3201 S. Sunset for anyone wishing to pay final respects and remember our beloved friend.
