Proposals are now being accepted for the proceeds of the 2019 Rotary Sun Classic golf tournament.

The Rotary Sun Classic is a 36-hole, PGA-sanctioned, pro-am tournament that will be played July 19-21 at Nancy Lopez Golf Course at Spring River.

One or more local charities will be selected as the tournament’s primary beneficiaries and could receive as much as $30,000. Tournament directors are looking for projects that will have a significant impact on our community.

Last year, the Sun Classic funded new LED lighting for the Bob Crosby Arena and junior livestock parking area, and children’s evaluation and training equipment for the Los Pasitos Early Intervention Program.

Interested parties should submit their proposals by mail to P.O. Box 1573, Roswell, NM 88202-1573. The deadline is May 31. Applicants must be a qualified 501 (c3) corporation.
