University High School students will present information concerning clean air and energy sources on Sunday.

Some of the eight Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) students who have been studying clean energy technologies with faculty member Andrea Batista will be at the “Sunday Funday” presentation at the Historical Society for Southeastern New Mexico. The event is scheduled for 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Museum Archive Building, 208 N. Lea Ave.

They plan to discuss what they have learned regarding wind turbines, DC motors and solar cells, as well as how those technologies relate to the New Mexico economy and the reasons why they should be balanced with nonrenewable energy sources.
