East Second Street will be closed to through traffic between North Garden and North Virginia avenues for a couple of days beginning at 6 a.m. Tuesday, according to a city of Roswell announcement.
The city news release indicated that the closure is due to work by Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway crews on the railroad crossing across East Second. The work is expected to take one to two days to complete.
Although through traffic will be shut down at Garden and Virginia avenues, access to businesses along that section of East Second will still be available from Garden and Virginia. Commercial truck traffic will be detoured to East College Boulevard to the north and East McGaffey Street to the south.
