Stabbing suspect wanted by police


Roswell Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a man who allegedly stabbed his former girlfriend in the leg.


Michael Joe Jaramillo, 40, of Roswell, is the latest addition to Roswell’s Most Wanted List.

Jaramillo faces a charge of aggravated battery against a household member after he allegedly stabbed his 27-year-old ex-girlfriend in the leg April 21, according to a press release from the Roswell Police Department.

Jaramillo had allegedly confronted the woman as she was walking in a neighborhood a few blocks southwest of Roswell.

The release states Jaramillo is 5 feet 8 inches tall and 185 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has multiple tattoos, including on both arms and hands. Jaramillo also has a scar on his right knee.

Individuals with information about the whereabouts of Jaramillo, or any other information that could lead to his location, should contact the RPD at 575-624-6770 or Chaves County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-594-8477.

Callers may remain anonymous and people who contact Crime Stoppers with information that leads to an arrest or conviction could potentially be eligible for a reward, according to the release.
