Donations are being sought for a Roswell Fire Department firefighter who is dealing with a serious medical condition.
Lt. Cory Mealand, who has been a Roswell firefighter since 2007, has been diagnosed with a serious brain tumor and is now seeking treatment in Phoenix, according to a post on the city of Roswell Fire Department’s Facebook page.
In addition to his service with the Roswell Fire Department, Mealand has worked as a paramedic for Superior Ambulance Service, a flight medic for CareFlight and has been a member of the Berrendo Volunteer Fire Department for several years.
People can make donations in person at JP Stone Community Bank. Donations can also be made through a GoFundMe account and a Facebook fund drive that have both been established.
