Governor, congresswoman at NMMI graduation

The New Mexico Military Institute will hold its officer commissioning and graduation exercises in the coming days.

Twenty-five cadets are due to be commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. military at 8 a.m. in Pearson Auditorium on the NMMI campus.

On Saturday, the Institute will hold graduation ceremonies for its high school and its junior college.

The high school commencement is scheduled for 8 a.m. in Pearson with U.S. Rep. Xochitl Torres Small, D-Las Cruces, as the speaker.

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham is expected to give the commencement address at the 11 a.m. junior college ceremony, which also will occur in Pearson Auditorium.
