An 11-year-old boy was seriously injured Friday morning after he was struck by a minivan while at or near a school bus stop at the intersection of Riverside and Estrellita Drives.

The boy was struck by a Honda minivan driven by a 26-year-old female at 7:30 a.m. Friday, Todd Wildermuth, public information officer for the city of Roswell stated Monday.

The driver immediately stopped to render care to the boy and later told police she had not seen the boy come into the street when she struck him.

Following the investigation, it was determined that no charges will be filed against the driver, Wildermuth said.

Roswell Fire Department crews responded and provided medical care, and transported the boy to a local hospital. He was subsequently flown to another hospital.
