Roswell Sertoma Club has provided $21,000 to the city of Roswell for the Fourth of July celebration.

The club has provided this amount every year for more 20 years to help the city purchase the fireworks used in the annual Roswell Sertoma-Mike Satterfield Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza. It is one of the club’s major sponsorships.

Roswell Fire Department personnel are in charge of the fireworks set-up and show, so the donation is presented each year to the fire chief.

The club also purchases hearing aids and speech therapy for people in need, provides 27 $500 college scholarships each semester and supports various youth activities and charitable causes.

Anyone wishing to join Sertoma can attend one of the club’s meetings at noon at the Elks Lodge every Friday. Forms for assistance are available on the club’s website, roswellsertoma.org.
