SERVICES: There will be a Viewing on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019, 2:00 PM, at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.

On March 12, 1979, Michael was born in Roswell, NM, to Adrian Sr. and Rosie Benavidez. He was raised in Roswell, NM, and graduated from Goddard High School. Prior to Michael’s illness, he worked as a manager for a local Department Store. He was a member of Church On The Move. Michael enjoyed softball and spending time with his family and friends. His greatest joy in life was making memories with his children and grandchildren. His spirit, smile, and presence will be greatly missed, and the memories Michael shared with his family and friends will forever remain in their hearts.

PRECEDED: Preceding Michael in death: his grandparents: Arturo Benavidez, Josephine Gamboa, Henry T. Gamboa, Emily Benavidez, Estorgio Benavidez, Flora Ramirez, and Marcello Ramirez.

SURVIVORS: Michael is survived by his children: Michael Gamboa Jr., Deidra Gamboa, Anyka Gamboa, Destini Gonzales, Makayla Gamboa; grandchildren: King Torres, Emperor Torres; parents, Adrian Sr. and Rosie Benavidez; grandmother, Inez Benavidez; siblings: Bubba Benavidez, Ashley Benavidez; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends; nieces and nephews: Arturo Benavidez, Izaya Sanchez, Alex Benavidez, Lilly Smith, and Aubrey Benavidez.
