The New Mexico Economic Development Department will host the next FUNDIT meeting on June 25 to help local leaders identify potential economic development projects.

The state is calling on communities to submit project proposals by June 17, for review during its upcoming meeting.

New Mexico FUNDIT is an informal group of agencies that meets quarterly. Over 13 federal, state and local entities are represented in the group, which meet in one location to analyze and compare proposals for capital projects. Their goal is to improve the effectiveness of project review and support, while ensuring communities have the information they need to obtain full funding for projects.

Projects should be of public interest; projects from commercial businesses are not eligible for this program. The types of projects to be considered include business development, community development, infrastructure development, housing projects and downtown redevelopment.

The meeting will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at ACCION, 2000 Zearing Ave. N.W., Albuquerque, 87104.
