Claude Wayne Swarengin, 83, of Decatur, Arkansas, a born again child of God, went home to see about things on May 26, 2019. Wayne was born September 13, 1935 in rural Dexter, New Mexico. He was the son of Claude E Swarengin and Mae Lorene Monk Swarengin. Wayne met the love of his life, Joyce Jeanene Robinson at age 16, and she was 12. They married on May 26, 1957. He has been an area resident since 1960, moving here from Roswell, New Mexico. Wayne was a retired farmer. He was a deacon and member of Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Gentry, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude E and Mae Lorene; and his only brother, Ray Swarengin.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanene Swarengin of the home; one son, Russell Wayne Swarengin and wife Marsha of Choctaw, Oklahoma; three daughters, Lanita Gaye Betts and husband Mark of Decatur, Arkansas, Donna Kay Davis and husband Randy of Decatur, and Jody Mae Lee and husband Randy of Noble, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren: Joseph Swarengin and wife Nicole, Jeremy Swarengin and wife Teri, Aaron Betts and wife Melanie, Nathan Betts and wife Anna, Jessica Townsend and husband Ben, Rebecka Roberts and husband Aaron, Clayton Wayne Betts, and Claire Gideon and husband Matthew; and fourteen great grandchildren: Lilian, Graham, Liam, Cooper, Amelia, Matthew, Sadie, Levi, Jenna, Malie, Titus, Annslee, Jake, and Paisley. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Geraldine Swarengin, nephew, Steve Swarengin and wife Glee, and niece, Sandy Britt and husband Will, all of Dexter, New Mexico.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 31, 2019, at Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Gentry, Arkansas, with Pastor Bill Sheffield officiating. Burial will follow at Falling Springs Cemetery near Decatur, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.
