Anna Clara Permar (Allen), 82, of Roswell, NM, died unexpectedly at home on May 26, 2019.

Anna is survived by her husband Paul Permar, to whom she was married for 33 years. She is also survived by her brother Louis Allen of Las Vegas, Nevada, brother Francis Allen and his wife Priscilla Allen of Albuquerque, NM, brother Robert Allen and his wife Barbara Allen of North Smithfield, RI, daughter Victoria Permar and son Victor Permar and his wife Deborah Permar of Greensborough , NC, Barbara Baker of Alexandria, VA and Paula Thomas and her husband Kevin Thomas of Jacksonville, FL.

Anna had six grandchildren, a great grandchild, and two great-great grandchildren as well as six nieces and nephews.

Anna was predeceased by her father Arthur Allen and mother Anna Allen (Conte) of Glendale, RI.

Anna was born in Woonsocket, RI on December 28, 1936. She received an Associate’s degree in accounting from Gilford College in North Carolina and Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from McGill University in Montreal.

Anna owned an accounting business in North Carolina for many years. She lived in many different places including RI, Canada, France, North Carolina, and New Mexico.

Anna was an accomplished musician and music teacher. She played the accordion and the piano beautifully.

Anna will be remembered for her kind heart and generous spirit. She enjoyed volunteering in many different capacities with her husband Paul. She was a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program where she became involved in Special Olympics.

She worked for the Eastern New Mexico Center Auxiliary and the Senior Circle Organization. Anna was also a founding member of the Chaves County Walk for Hope. In her spare time, she loved to crochet and do craft beading. She participated in many crafting fairs.

A private service will be held for the family. For those wishing to commemorate Anna’s life, a donation can be made in her name to Chaves County Cancer Fund, Inc. PO Box 193 Roswell, NM 88202-0193.

Anna will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
