The manager of Golden Corral, Milburn Dolen, spoke to the Sunrise Optimist Club at a recent Wednesday morning meeting about his company’s youth camp for the children of veterans.

Millburn explained, “It is a week of fun for the children of wounded, ill, injured or fallen military families. Children between the ages of 8 and 15 can apply.”

Camp Corral is truly a special experience where military children participate in exciting activities and form lasting friendships. “Campers have the chance to connect with others like them in a community that only Camp Corral can provide. “ You can donate to Camp Corral at any Golden Corral restaurant, online CampCorral.org or text “Donate” to 919-373-6604.

The Sunrise Optimist Club has community leaders speak on various topics at its meetings, Wednesdays at 6:45 a.m., at Lovelace Hospital cafeteria/conference room.
