The name of a man killed in a weekend shooting in Roswell was released by police Monday.
Todd Wildermuth, public information officer with the Roswell Police Department, identified the victim as Alberto Manuel Marin, 33, of Roswell.
Marin was shot at about 8:20 p.m. Saturday in the 700 block of West Summit Street. He was found lying in the street in front of a residence and next to a vehicle. Wildermuth said it is believed Marin did not live at the West Summit Street residence.

Marin was pronounced dead at the scene Saturday. Police have officially classified the shooting as a homicide currently under investigation by the department.
The incident is the city’s first homicide in about 12 months.
