Seven Guatemalan males were found Friday by Chaves County deputies in what is being described as a stash house used for human trafficking.

Mike Herrington, Chaves County sheriff, said in a post on his Facebook page early Saturday morning that a 16 and a 17 year old were among the males found at the location of the alleged stash house on Concord Road.

Herrington stated he and deputies went to the location after the Sheriff’s office received information about the existence of the stash house.

U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement were contacted and subsequently took possession of the seven males and are now in charge of the case, Herrington said.

No additional details were provided.
