A local woman wanted on a federal arrest warrant since Wednesday for allegedly harboring and transporting illegal immigrants into the United States turned herself in to the Chaves County Sheriff’s Office this morning.

Christine McDonald, 41 of Roswell, turned herself in to the Chaves County Sheriff’s Office this morning at 8 a.m. and has now been turned over to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, according to a post on the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.

McDonald was being sought in connection with the alleged “stash house” recently discovered by law enforcement at 17 Concord Rd, where a number of Guatemalan nationals alleged to be in the country illegally were being housed.
