A former Roswell Police officer was sentenced in Fifth Judaical Court in Roswell Tuesday on charges related to a 2016 armed robbery.

Valerie Palombi, 27, was sentenced to a total of 11 years – with six to be served in prison and five suspended and to be served on supervised probation. She has 125 days of pre sentence confinement credit.

The charges stem from a June 28, 2016 armed robbery of a local Subway restaurant, by Palombi and Kevin Blake, 26, where two employees were held at gunpoint by Blake, while Palombi took $600 from a cash register.

Palombi was then arrested two nights after the robbery when an officer spotted her at a convenience store in the 500 block of West McGaffey Street.

Blake, who pled guilty to charges of armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery, was sentenced in March to 13 years with six and a half to be served in prison and the remaining four years, 11 months and 31 days to be served on probation.
