The Roswell Police Department and local business sponsors will host a free public lunch event Saturday as part of the ongoing spring and summer Community Investment Project.

The event will be held at the Alice Reischman-Smith Park in south Roswell from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The park is located on G Street between East Wells and East Eyman streets at the Roswell International Air Center.

Those attending will be able to visit and learn about the RPD Mobile Command Center. The Roswell Fire Department also plans to be there, if possible, to set up its Kids Combat Challenge Course, which offers youth a chance to test their skills at some firefighting-related activities.

Hot dogs, chips and bottled water will be provided to the public (while supplies last), thanks to contributions from sponsors Sam’s Club, Farmer’s Country Market and Sippy and Opal’s Ice Cream and Sweet Treats.

More information about the Community Investment Project can be found on the Roswell police website, roswellpolice.com.
