The city of Roswell has notified the public that a water-line break near Cherry Street and North Garden Avenue occurred Tuesday morning and has resulted in flooding of some streets and yards.

A news announcement indicated that crews are putting out sandbags. The water at the location will be shut off so repairs can be made. It is unknown at this time how long repairs will take. Water customers throughout the city may be impacted.

As a result of the break, water pressure citywide, except in the Roswell International Air Center area, is potentially decreased to about 50% of average.

Citizens are asked to not water yards and to conserve water use for the next couple of days.

“The city of Roswell apologizes for this inconvenience,” a news release indicated, “and thanks citizens for their patience.
