A water-line break Tuesday morning near Cherry Street and North Garden Avenue resulted in flooding of some streets and yards.

Water at the location was shut off so repairs could be undertaken, according to a press release from the city of Roswell. It was unknown Tuesday how long repairs would take.

It was anticipated that water customers throughout the city could be impacted. Water pressure citywide — except in the area of the Roswell International Air Center — was potentially decreased to approximately 50% of average, according to the press release.

Citizens were asked to not water yards and to otherwise conserve water use for the next couple of days.

“The city of Roswell apologizes for this inconvenience and thanks citizens for their patience,” according to the press release.

Tuesday afternoon, it was announced the repair effort would require the intersection of North Garden Avenue and Third Street to be closed in all directions for an undetermined period of time.
