SERVICES: A Funeral Service for June will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, 2:00 PM, at Grace Community Church, 935 W. Mescalero Road, Roswell, NM.

On June 3, 1946, Roma was born to William “Dick” and Maxine Alexander in Roswell, New Mexico. She spent most of her early years on a ranch west of Roswell with her parents and sister, Pat. June often reflected those were some of the most fun times of her life.

June graduated from Lovington High School in 1965, and soon embarked on an educational career which was quite extensive. Her passion was Educational Development and loved working with kids. This passion would lead to a career spanning over thirty years in the RISD, in which she was both a Teacher and a Guidance Counselor. June has five children: Jeff Wood, Shayne Wood, Brittany, Leslie, and Wendy Waggoner.

SURVIVORS: Those left to eternally cherish and treasure June’s loving memory are her son, Shayne Wood and wife Suzy of Artesia, NM; grandchildren: Cooper Wood, Allie and Hunter Glenn, and Julia and Riley Wortley.

PRECEDED: Preceding Roma in death: two husbands: Darrel Waggoner, Jim Kisselbert both of Roswell, NM; and sister, Pat Clark of Clovis, NM.

Outside of June’s career, she was a very social person with lots of friends. She loved taking trips and was often referred to as “The Life of the Party.” June was also a part of Socials Sororities which she loved and enriched her life incredibly. She will be dearly missed by so many friends and family.

June’s tribute was written in her honor by her family.
