Security camera and sensor reported stolen

The following public records are from the Roswell Police Department and can be viewed at rpdp2c.org. All people arrested or cited are presumed innocent.

A security camera and sensor light with a combined value of $280 were reported stolen at 7:01 p.m. Aug. 6 from the 500 block of Linda Drive.

Arrests/citations

Vanessa Macias was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and drugs Aug. 2 at 1:36 a.m. at the 800 block of Dora Drive.

Joe Ray Chavez was charged with aggravated assault with a knife at 4:52 p.m. Aug. 3 in the 600 block of South Main Street.

Joel Vargus was charged with burglary and failure to appear in the 300 block of East Deming Street at 7:11 p.m. Aug. 6. A welder valued at $500 was reported stolen.

Melisa Ann Gordan was charged with possession of controlled substances prohibited at 12:20 p.m. Aug. 8 at the 3000 block of South Atkinson Avenue.

Criminal damage

Potted plants with combined values of $1,050 and $170 were reported damaged at 9:29 a.m. Aug. 3 at the 2000 block of North Main Street.

Police were dispatched to the 300 block of South Washington Avenue at 12:25 p.m. Aug. 3 in reference to a report of criminal damage. A windshield valued at $450 was reported damaged.

A door and a door frame with a combined value of $500 were reported damaged at 2:05 a.m. Aug. 5 in the 900 block of West Hendricks Street.

An automobile steering column valued at $500 in a 1992 Ford F-250 was reported damaged at 5:49 a.m. Aug. 5 at the 1000 block of South Sunset Avenue.

A driver’s side window valued at $200 on a 2011 Ford was reported damaged at a 1000 block of North Main Street business at 5:51 a.m. Aug. 7.

A window was reported damaged at 6:24 a.m. Aug. 8 in the 2000 block of North Garden Avenue.

Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of South Berkley Drive at 3:21 p.m. Aug. 7 in reference to a report of criminal damage. A windshield valued at $700 on a 2008 Chevy was reported damaged.

Larceny/thefts

Police were dispatched to the 400 block of East 23rd Street in reference to a non-forced burglary at 9 p.m. Aug. 2. A television valued at $490 was reported stolen.

A rack of clothes and box of merchandise with a combined value of $220 were reported stolen and a wall sustained $100 worth of damage April 3 at 9:59 a.m. at the 600 block of Orange Street.

Police were dispatched to the 200 block of East Hervey Street at 4:44 a.m. Aug. 5 in reference to a vehicle burglary of a 2010 GMC. A Hewlett Packard laptop, a computer monitor, a Halliburton backpack, work documents, two wallets, $500 in cash, a driver’s license and two medical cards with a combined value of $1,860 were reported stolen.

Police were dispatched Aug. 6 at 10:04 a.m. to the 500 block of South Wyoming Avenue in reference to a vehicle burglary. A purse, a wallet and a debit card with a combined value of $274 were reported stolen.

An iPhone 8 valued at $400 was reported stolen at 10:03 a.m. Aug. 5 at the 600 block of North Pennsylvania Avenue.

An officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of South Kentucky Avenue at 8:10 p.m. Aug. 6 in reference to a burglary. Five collectible comic books and four collectible coins with a combined value of $1,600, and a prescription for Hydrocodone were reported stolen.

An iron pipe valued at $900 was reported stolen at 2:33 p.m. Aug. 8 from the 600 block of West New Mexico Drive.

Police were dispatched to a 3500 block of North Main Street business at 1:51 p.m. Aug. 7 in reference to the burglary of a 2019 Chevy Silverado. Hand and power tools with a combined value of $3,500 were reported stolen. A tailgate lock valued at $200 was also punched out.

A brown 2018 Buick was reported stolen Aug. 7 at 12:50 p.m. from the 900 block of Norris Place.

A vehicle motor valued at $1,800 was reported stolen from a red Toyota pickup truck at 11:48 a.m. Aug. 8 at the 800 block of East Third Street.

Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Jaffa Street at 3:02 p.m. Aug. 8 in reference to a burglary forced entry. A Black & Decker weedeater, a Craftsman lawnmower and a Ryobi leaf blower with a combined value of $300 were reported stolen.

A Duralast Gold motorcycle battery valued at $104.99 was reported stolen from a 2013 Nissan Altima outside a 100 block of South Main Street business at 1:46 p.m. Aug. 8.
