In a recent letter to the editor, Diana Tuttle said I needed to be ‘honest’ in my assessment of power energy for the state of New Mexico. In my letter ‘Beyond Wind and Solar’ I explained the physical resource requirements of wind and solar compared to nuclear and natural gas (NG) power generation. I made no reference to the financial cost of those energy sources. The focus of the letter was about how impractical and impossible the Energy Transition Act (ETA) would be to meet it’s 2050 goals.

I do not rebut anything Ms. Tuttle said in her letter because it was mostly true at one time in the past. Ms. Tuttle declined to have a private conversation with me so I could bring her up to date on energy technology, which is the intent of all my letters. …
