Roswell Mayor Dennis Kintigh, left, welcomes Vice President Mike Pence at Roswell International Air Center Wednesday after the vice president’s plane landed and Pence prepared to head to Artesia for a speaking engagement. Pence spoke about the trade agreement involving the United States, Mexico and Canada during the Wednesday afternoon Artesia event. “We are honored that he has been to our town three times now — once as a candidate and twice as a vice president,” Mayor Kintigh said. “It shows that Roswell and Southeast New Mexico are important to the state and the nation.” (Submitted Photo)
