The Roswell Symphony Orchestra has announced the cancellation of the Labor Day Concert at the Spring River Park & Zoo.

Originally scheduled for 5:30 p.m., Monday, Sept. 2, the free concert at the Spring River Park & Zoo has been a tradition for more than 50 years. Spokesperson Jim Manatt said that the organization decided it needed to cancel this year’s event due to changes that the city of Roswell sought in regard to legal and financial arrangements.

The 2019-20 concert season includes an Oct. 12 classical music concert with a featured violinist, a Dec. 8 Christmas concert, a Feb. 1 American jazz concert and an April 18 finale in honor of Donald Anderson featuring the symphony and chorus.
