The speaker at the recent Sunrise Optimist Club’s regular meeting was Captain Nikki Woollin, from the Salvation Army. Captain Woollin explained the objectives of the Salvation Army in Roswell and the surrounding communities. She listed the many services available through the Salvation Army for those less fortunate.

Captain Woollin is presently trying to enlist bell ringers for the Salvation Army kettles during the holiday seasons. If your group or you as an individual would like to help with this, you can take a day or a few hours at any of their kettle locations. Contact Captain Woollin at the Salvation Army if you can help.

The Sunrise Optimist Club of Roswell works diligently to make Roswell a better place for our youth to live. If you want to know more about the Sunrise Optimist speakers, our club, or the Optimist Club projects, contact membership chairman, Roger K. Burnett or join us Wednesday mornings at 7 a.m. at the Lovelace Hospital cafeteria.
